I. Introduction
Thailand is part of Suvarnabhumi territory, which finds mention even in Ramayana by written Valmiki in c.1000 BC. Buddhism was embraced in Thailand, while the kingdom of Thailand was small state in the year seven hundred in Sukkhothai period. Prior to that, Thailand had long history in which as per the legend, Thailand was the kingdom of Daravati, which was the city of Mons and Thais who lived in the basin site of Chao Phra ya river.
