Agricultural plays a vital role in Indian economy as it provides employment
to 69% of working population. In developing countries, agriculture contributes in a
large measure to a countries economy. This role of agriculture arises out of the
position, the agrarian section occupies in the overall economy of the country. During
the plan period there has been a considerable growth in agriculture, signifying selfsufficiency
in same of the agricultural produce.
